My Husband Smells My Panties Anytime I Come Back From A Journey” — Wife – Family

A woman, Dasola Adeosun, has pleaded with Ile Tuntun Customary Court, Mapo Hall, Ibadan, Oyo State, to put an end to her union with her husband, Taiwo, whom she alleged on several occasions had attempted to use their only two-year-old child for money rituals and that he used to smell her pants and fingers her each time she travelled to check whether she had slept with another man.
“My husband married me about three and a half years ago as a virgin and we gave birth to a child who is two-year-old, Emmanuel. We’ve separated for about one and a half years and he has not been responsible for our welfare. Whenever he beats me, he either takes me to the hospital for treatment by himself or calls a nurse to come and set a drip for me in the house. I’ve tried to endure his excesses but it seems my patience does not pay any longer.
“After delivering my baby, he insisted on taking the child to his family house where unfortunately, my things were set on fire when a stick of matches was lit and thrown into my room through a window. It was after that incident that he told me he was taking the child to Lagos for money rituals. He took this step twice but he returned to me with the baby that he was told the child was not useful.

18 Year Old Boy Commits Suicide Because Mother Cut Off Internet While Gaming

18 year-old Paul Bickle jumped to his death after his mom turned off his Playstation internet connection.
According to the mother, he stormed out of his home, made his way to a bridge over the M42 and committed suicide.
A rift over a computer game sparked suicidal thoughts in the mind of the 18-year-old but she believes that is not the reason for his death.
According to her, it was merely a catalyst in a young life plunged into chaos by clinical depression and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
The memories of those final hours was not made any less painful by that knowledge.
“He was upstairs on his PlayStation and started shouting and swearing,” Donna says softly, weighing each word. “I told him it was not acceptable, but the shouting and swearing and banging got worse.”

“I didn’t go upstairs after that. I was shouting ‘Stop it! Calm down!’ I was really distressed.”
“I said ‘If you don’t stop this, I’ll turn it off’. Then I turned off the internet connection.”

Why I Wash My Wife’s Clothes – Nigerian Man – Family

I consider myself to be a very conservative person. Some people even call me old-fashioned. I grew up believing that a woman should be the one cooking, taking care of the kids, etc. However I didn’t have this perception because I considered women inferior. I just felt that was the right thing, maybe based on the traditional values inherent in the African society. I also believed that the man should be the main- if not only- contributor of money in the family. That was years ago.
Today, as a married man, my views have completely changed. One weekend, my wife was doing house chores while I was on my laptop working on my novel, trying to meet a deadline. Although I was focused on my work, at the back of my mind I noticed that the sound of plates changed to the sound of a broom and then the sound of clothes being washed. Immediately, I was alarmed. I thought, ‘Wait, is she doing all that work alone?! And she never called for assistance?!’ Immediately, I left what I was doing and told her to stop, take a rest and tell me what was left to do so that I could do it.
When I was done, I realised that my mentality had changed. You see, love is always greater than a sense of ‘duty’. You don’t need to force a real man to share the responsibilities of house chores like washing, cleaning, taking care of the baby, cooking, etc. Any man who truly loves his wife will not be able to bear the thought of leaving her to bear the burden alone. Let us cast aside the mentality of ‘this is a woman’s duty, that is a man’s duty’. Even the Bible supports a man washing plates (2 Kings 21:13) and a woman providing financially for the family (Prov 31:11-23).
What is most important is this: we want to achieve something and we work together to achieve it. If she earns more than I do, then she can contribute more to the family financial goals than I do. If she is working outside while I work from home or return earlier from work, why can’t I be the one taking care of the baby, feeding and cleaning his/her ‘bum bum’ after pooing? If you think these things make you less of a man, then you were never a man in the first place. There is nothing like ‘duties of a man’ and ‘duties of a woman’. However, for the sake of effectiveness, division of labour can be implemented but not because of ‘duty’. The man can end up taking cooking responsibilities and the woman takes the work of car-washing. Doesn’t matter!
On another day, my lovely wife cooked a delicious meal of very peppery Oha soup littered with pomo, fish, meat, etc etc, just the way I love it. I told her, ‘Thank you so much for going to the market and cooking this food. Honestly, I’m grateful.’ She looked at me, surprised and said ‘Why are you thanking me for such a thing? It’s my duty.’ Immediately, I told her it’s not her duty to cook but her choice and that’s why I was very thankful. The first time I tried washing her clothes we almost had a serious disagreement. She kept saying ‘It’s not right, it’s not right. You shouldn’t wash my clothes.’ Then I threatened to also restrict her from touching mine. At that point we were able to reach an agreemen.
What’s the point of this message? My wife and I equally belong to the kitchen, to the living room and…well, to the other room . God bless you

Samsung Temporarily Stops Making of Galaxy Note 7 Phones Because of Continuous Fire Incidents

Even the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone units that are deemed "safe" by Samsung is also catching fire so South Korean media is reporting that Samsung has temporarily stopped production of Galaxy Note 7 devices
"The halt is in cooperation with consumer safety regulators from South Korea, the United States and China," said an official at a supplier for Samsung. "This measure includes a Samsung plant in Vietnam that is responsible for global shipments (of the Galaxy Note 7)," they said.
Samsung previously recalled all sold
Galaxy note 7 devices and replaced them with the ones they claimed were "safe" but in the last few days, about 4 incidents of the safe units catching fire has been reported. Among them is the
one that happened on airplane

In addition, all the Big Four carriers in the US (as well as Australian carrier Telstra) have also suspended sales of handset.
This one is big money, big trouble.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has attacked President Muhammadu Buhari for throwing frequent jibes on Biafra agitators as a means of diverting attention from critical issues of governance facing the nation.
Speaking through its counsel Mr Amobi Nzelu, the group slammed the President focusing on the Biafra movement rather than solve the nation’s economic recession, Boko Haram insurgency, large scale unemployment.

“The president is trying to bring the issue of Biafra to the front burner at the expense of what is going on economically in this country; it’s not worth it.
“People are dying. The issue of Biafra is diversionary; let him address the serious issues of Nigeria. If they say they want referendum so be it; test it out.
“It is the treatment that made them to ask for certain things they ask for; treat them equally and this matter will end. That is why I said it requires constructive dialogue,” Nzelu.
The lawyer said there was nothing wrong in allowing a referendum so long as “the condition that gave rise to the agitation was yet to be addressed.
Meanwhile, the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) has defend the arrest of some supreme court and federal high court judges by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS).

How Phyno, Olamide and others made it to the top

Olamide and Phyno have had an incredible 2016 as far as their careers are concerned. We say this because the numbers say collectively they have some of the most played materials on mainstream radio today.

With only two months to the end of the year, both rappers have announced they are dropping albums and it goes without saying that we are having a massive yuletide as far as new music is concerned.

It will be an interesting one and we can’t wait.

But what’s even more interesting is the switch in Olamide and Phyno with both music stars embracing the more sought after pop genre.
With Olamide, this isn’t particularly new as we have seen in Bobo, Lagos Boys and Melo Melo. The man understands the market, their inclinations and everything about their yearnings – and he delivers just that in his pieces. Currently, he's dropped new hits in Konkonbility, Owo Blow and Abule Sowo.
And it’s worked for him. And quite frankly, we love it to the full.

But there’s more flavor to love from where that came because Phyno appears to have been indoctrinated into the league. This league is what has most of our A-list artistes playing what’s been popularly referred to as Afro Pop and Afro beats in international tabloids and American radio shows.

This genre has seen Tekno deliver four astounding records in Wash, Where, Duro and the current, wave-making hit song Pana.
With Phyno, we have been blessed with Connect, Fada Fada and the new, highlife influenced Pino Pino.
These songs are the summary of all the charts in Nigeria this year, maybe with a few additions here and there from outliers like Adekunle Gold, Timi Dakolo, Burna Boy, Dare Alade and Simi.

Yemi Alade, Cynthia Morgan, Seyi Shay, Niniola and Tiwa Savage have also contributed their fair share to the core of things in 2016. But when the story is written come December 2016, the review sheets will have Phyno, Tekno and Olamide in outright dominance before others because not even the duo of Wizkid and Davido have had a better year despite their international sojourns all year (which have been quite the impressive one anyway).
So yea, we have come this far with this new crop of talents and it’s a great one. They have served their fans with so much heart and grit and persistence

They have created what is perhaps one of the most poignant eras in local music, all without any foreign collaboration and we love it. This is a testament to how much our music has evolved over the years. Every facet of it is glory. On his part, Ayo Jay is also doing the country proud in faraway America.
Though still needing some improvements here and there, we see that the growth in the local music industry has come in leaps and bounds.
Phyno and Olamide have struck a formidable partnership and it can only get better as we have seen.
They served us a tepid joint album in 2 Kings which dropped in April 2015 and it didn’t exactly see positive feedback from the consumers and critics alike. And it’s fine really, we can chalk it up to fatigue because when you record almost nonstop round the year you are bound to burn out.

In all though, we are happy with the new materials from both rappers-turned-pop stars (and I guess we can describe them that way given how much they have achieved), materials that have seen them adopt the more accepted Afro pop genre because at the end of the day they are in the business to satisfy the consumers.

After all; as they say, every artiste’s work, unless he be a hermit, creating solely for his own satisfaction and with no need of sales, is to some extent socially conditioned; he depends upon the approval of his patrons.
