NNPC Direct marketers to sell kerosene at N150 per litre











Kerosene to be now sold at  ₦150 per litre, as the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr. Maikanti Baru, has said.

visit to the Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun
in Abeokuta, recently, called on other retailers 
Of the product  to emulate the NNPC mega stations and start selling the product at  ₦150 per litre, up from the ₦ 80 per litre.

He said: “We are committed to promoting the use
of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) as an alternative choice for home cooking, which is also available at our NNPC retail stations.”

He also expressed the readiness of the NNPC to
complete the ongoing Escravos to Lagos Pipeline
System 2 (ELPS2) project in the last quarter of this
year to boost gas power in the country.

Baru said the 36-inch and 342-kilometre gas
pipeline project would double the capacity of the
existing ELPS, thereby improving gas supply to
Ogun and  it environment, adding that the recent
achievement of security agencies in safeguarding
the Atlas Cove to Mosimi System 2B pipeline would not have been possible without the support
of the host communities and state government.
